Senior Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Sales team to convey the comprehensive Datadog value proposition, vision, and strategy to clients.

• Manage technical interactions with customers throughout the trial period. Articulate Datadog’s value based on activities and assist customers in resolving any identified issues or concerns to a successful outcome.

• Close complex opportunities technically by leveraging advanced competitive insights, technical expertise, and credibility.

• Provide product and technical briefings/presentations to prospective clients.

• Keep precise notes and feedback in the CRM system regarding customer insights, including both successes and setbacks.

• Actively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog's business/technical teams concerning product feedback and the competitive landscape.


⛳️ Requirements

• Enthusiastic about educating customers on observability risks that significantly impact their business, and capable of developing and implementing an evaluation plan with clients.

• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. This position necessitates the ability to comprehend and communicate both the business advantages (value proposition) and technical benefits of our offerings.

• Proficient in programming/scripting with any of the following languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET, among others.

• Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.

• Capable of sitting for up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client locations.

• Willing to travel by car, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
