Senior Sales Account Executive – Banking & Financial Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Drive new business development within designated territories and banking sectors.

• Build and oversee a robust commercial pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and established networks.

• Market and sell sponsorships, subscriptions, awards programs, data/intelligence products, and commercial partnerships.

• Engage with MD-level and C-suite stakeholders from banks, fintechs, and technology providers.

• Lead commercial discussions, develop proposals, negotiate deals, and finalize contracts.

• Expand and manage existing strategic accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, research, and product teams on commercial strategies and market opportunities.

• Ensure accurate forecasting, maintain CRM standards, and provide pipeline reports.

• Represent the company at conferences, banking events, roundtables, and client meetings on a global scale.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5–8+ years in B2B sales, enterprise sales, sponsorship sales, or business development roles.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Banking, Fintech, Financial media, Data/intelligence platforms, Banking technology, Conferences/events, and SaaS/platform sales.

• Proven track record in acquiring new clients and driving revenue growth.

• Strong background in managing complete sales cycles from prospecting to closure.

• Comfortable interacting with senior banking stakeholders and decision-makers in a commercial setting.

• An existing network within the banking, fintech, or financial services sectors is highly desirable.

• Experience in financial media, awards, sponsorship, or conference sales is a plus.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management practices.

• Highly self-motivated and capable of navigating international markets and time zones.
