This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Identify new Risk Solution opportunities within major financial institutions and insurance companies throughout North America.
• Work alongside field Account Executives to promote specific software, solutions, and/or services to both current and prospective clients.
• Oversee the Risk Solution Sales Strategy for the designated territory to meet established targets.
• Initiate and support lead generation efforts while integrating strategies into the overall account plan.
• Evaluate leads by assessing business drivers and technical compatibility.
• Assess opportunities in accordance with established procedures.
• Act as the Risk Sales Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned territory, as well as for our Customers and Prospects.
• Collaborate with internal SAS teams (Product, Services, SMEs) to recognize industry trends, identify new offerings, and align sales strategies and campaigns.
• Understand the market landscape, competition, and customer requirements to advance the SAS Risk Strategy for the designated territory.
• Develop opportunities by managing and influencing requirements to gain a competitive advantage.
• Create and deliver sales proposals and system solutions that effectively convey the value of the company’s products and services.
• Utilize pre-sales engineering resources as necessary.
• Prepare customized quotes and proposal materials as required.
• Coordinate with other departments to formulate and finalize contracts and establish timelines for services.
• Facilitate the closure of complex sales transactions.
• Assist with pricing negotiations and licensing inquiries.
• After closing, transition customers to Professional Services for design and deployment.
• May monitor customer satisfaction levels and identify additional revenue opportunities.
• May support Product Marketing and/or Research and Development by supplying information for future product direction.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant security policies and processes to support the organization’s secure software development objectives.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to selling Risk solutions.
• Experience in selling or implementing enterprise application software solutions (including applications and services).
• Ability to effectively position the Company, its products, and services in the marketplace relative to competitors.
• Proactive, collaborative, and customer-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Familiarity with basic sales techniques; understanding of hardware and/or software acquisition cycles and purchasing influences.
• An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of the above qualifications.
