Senior Reverse Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Analyze and reverse-engineer the most challenging antibot and fingerprinting systems available online, including JS VMs, WASM, and code that is polymorphic or obfuscated.

• Develop JavaScript function tracing, deobfuscation pipelines, and fingerprint inspection tools for efficient, repeatable, and largely automated workflows.

• Employ LLMs, agents, and tailored automation to deobfuscate, categorize, and assess detection surfaces.

• Create and sustain website intelligence pipelines that include checkpoint history and baseline differentiation.

• Provide AI reverse-engineering and ban-resolution systems with the context, signals, and structured intelligence necessary for autonomous case resolution.

• Transform unique reverse-engineering achievements into reusable tools, rules, and pipelines.

• Integrate tools into Zyte's custom browser and automation framework.

• Work collaboratively across engineering disciplines and mentor peers in AI-enhanced reverse-engineering methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• A hacker mindset — capable of swiftly creating proof-of-concepts and functional tools to achieve results, while being comfortable with the inherent ambiguity and open-ended nature of the tasks.

• Proven experience utilizing AI tools (LLMs, coding agents, automation) to enhance your engineering processes, with a keen sense for when and what to automate.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript/Node.js and Python, coupled with a wide-ranging programming background and exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Robust research, debugging, fuzzing, and reverse-engineering abilities, including static, dynamic, and concolic analysis.

• Practical experience in reversing JavaScript VMs, WASM, and heavily obfuscated or polymorphic code.

• A thorough understanding of operating systems and networking concepts.

• Proficient in tools like Wireshark, Burp Suite, and similar programs for intercepting and debugging network traffic.

• Familiarity with browser engines, browser fingerprinting, and antibot/anti-scraping techniques.

• Ability to prioritize tasks logically using a measurement-backed strategy and excel in a collaborative setting.

• Bonus points for experience with reverse-engineering tools such as IDA, Ghidra, Frida, or Babel.

• Bonus points for experience in developing tools or pipelines that support machine learning or AI systems.

• Bonus points for knowledge of C/C++ and Rust.

• Bonus points for significant contributions to Mozilla or Chromium projects.
