This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the complete accounts receivable process, including claim follow-up, status inquiries, rejections, denials, and corrected claims.
• Act as the primary contact for external partners, leading discussions on account discrepancies and financial disputes.
• Reconcile customer accounts, applying payments and offsets within the NetSuite and Candid billing systems.
• Uphold sub-ledger data standards and proactively address potential downstream data risks.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and prepare actionable summaries for leadership review.
• Analyze reimbursement trends specific to payers, payment issues, underpayments, and systemic errors.
• Simplify complex medical billing, denial, and reimbursement challenges for non-billing stakeholders.
• Oversee high-volume daily posting activities and ensure month-end deadlines are met.
• Enhance billing guidelines and implement new processes to boost revenue cycle performance.
• Track credit balances and recommend refunds, write-offs, or bad debt adjustments according to payer policies.
• Facilitate onboarding and setup calls with new health plans and partners.
• Validate invoicing and claims integrations prior to launch.
• Identify and address payment obstacles during the onboarding process.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
• In-depth understanding of commercial and government payer policies.
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
• Experience in EOB reconciliation.
• Proficient in B2B and patient billing and collections.
• Technically savvy in MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Capable of independently managing high-velocity, complex workloads.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and develop processes from the ground up.
• Skilled in leading high-stakes meetings with external partners.
• Competent in translating complex billing challenges into clear insights for non-billing stakeholders.
• Proficient in prioritizing competing deadlines while ensuring 100% data accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities independently.
