Senior Research Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the AI Director to spearhead significant initiatives within the AI R&D Team.

• Act as a liaison between East Coast and European time zones for AI R&D teams and projects.

• Align and inspire the team towards well-defined objectives.

• Build and cultivate cohesive, high-performing, self-organizing teams.

• Remove obstacles for team members and resolve bottlenecks and queues.

• Promote incremental delivery.

• Oversee project management of AI initiatives while balancing resources, scope, and time constraints.

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Enhance production processes, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, roadmaps, and requirements gathering.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners.

• Advocate for actionable enhancements and challenge existing practices.

• Collect and respond to internal feedback, modifying processes and methodologies as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software project management.

• More than 3 years in a leadership capacity.

• Familiarity with the complete cycle of an AI product, AI research, or game development; experience in all is preferable.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally in an Agile setting.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• High emotional intelligence.

• Capability to remain composed under pressure and unite multiple teams towards a shared objective.

• Highly motivated, self-directed, and proactive in problem-solving with limited oversight.

• Strong accountability for outcomes.

• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

• Proficiency with industry project management tools such as Hansoft, Jira, Confluence, and Office suite.

• Excellent analytical capabilities.

• Comfortable with modeling and analyzing data.

• A deep understanding of the AI and gaming industries is a plus.

• Proficient use of the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence) is an advantage.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
