Senior Research Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the AI Director to implement significant new projects within the AI R&D team.

• Act as a liaison across East Coast and European time zones for both AI teams and initiatives.

• Align and inspire the team around well-defined goals.

• Cultivate and sustain cohesive, high-performing teams capable of self-organization and delivering outstanding outcomes.

• Identify and address bottlenecks and queues while promoting incremental delivery.

• Oversee AI initiatives by balancing resources, ambitions, and time limitations.

• Recognize risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Continuously enhance production processes, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, road mapping, and requirements gathering.

• Establish and nurture relationships with key external partners.

• Advocate for meaningful, beneficial enhancements by boldly and creatively challenging existing norms.

• Collect, consider, and respond to internal feedback, making adjustments to processes and strategies as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

• Experience throughout the entire lifecycle of an AI product, AI research project, or video game development; ideally, exposure to all three.

• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, preferably in an Agile setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• High emotional intelligence.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and unite multiple teams around a common objective.

• Highly driven, self-motivated, and capable of proactively addressing challenges with minimal oversight.

• Willing to seek guidance when necessary.

• Accountable for results, regardless of their nature.

• Intellectual curiosity.

• Humility and a desire for learning, constantly seeking educational opportunities.

• Familiarity with industry-standard project management tools (e.g., Hansoft, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office).

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Comfortable with data modeling and analysis.

• In-depth knowledge of the AI and video game industries (optional).

• Proficiency with the Atlassian suite (Jira and Confluence) (optional).

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
