Senior Research Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the AI Director to spearhead significant initiatives within the AI R&D Team.

• Act as a liaison between East Coast and European time zones for AI R&D teams and projects.

• Align and inspire the team towards well-defined objectives.

• Build and foster cohesive, high-achieving teams that are empowered to self-organize and deliver exceptional results.

• Remove obstacles by recognizing and resolving bottlenecks and queues while promoting incremental delivery.

• Oversee the project management of AI initiatives, balancing resource, scope, and time constraints.

• Identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies.

• Enhance production processes, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, roadmaps, and requirements gathering.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key external partners.

• Champion actionable improvements and challenge the status quo with courage and innovation.

• Collect, acknowledge, and respond to internal feedback, adjusting processes and methods as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software project management.

• More than 3 years in a leadership capacity.

• Experience with the complete lifecycle of an AI product, AI research, or game development; ideally all three.

• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, preferably in an Agile setting, with an emphasis on team empowerment and self-organization.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• High emotional intelligence evident in all interactions.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and unite multiple teams towards a shared objective.

• Highly motivated, self-directed, and proactive in problem-solving with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to seek guidance when necessary.

• Strong accountability for outcomes.

• Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.

• Familiarity with industry project management tools, such as Hansoft, Jira, Confluence, and the Office suite.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Comfortable with modeling and analyzing data.

• Deep knowledge of the AI and gaming industries (preferred).

• Good proficiency in the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence (preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience (preferred).
