This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the loan remediation pipeline by monitoring, prioritizing, and updating assigned cases.
• Gather, verify, and document necessary paperwork in accordance with both regulatory and internal standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to collect documentation and resolve outstanding issues.
• Confirm borrower details, loan conditions, and remediation actions prior to finalizing updates or decisions.
• Assess loan files for thoroughness and adherence to policies and regulations.
• Take ownership of assigned cases and guide them to resolution with minimal oversight.
• Evaluate complex loan situations and devise effective remediation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with business lines and stakeholders to coordinate initiatives and pinpoint areas for process enhancement.
• Engage strategically with leaders and stakeholders to maintain transparency, alignment, and prompt decision-making.
• Mentor and support junior staff members.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supportive role within Loss Mitigation or related areas such as Underwriting, Closing, or Quality Assurance.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Capability to learn proprietary loan systems.
• Proven precision in reviewing and amending loan documents to ensure compliance and prevent errors.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at every level of the organization.
• Ability to organize, track, and verify loan documentation across various systems and formats.
• Experience in accurate data entry and maintaining consistency across different systems.
• Proficient in multitasking, prioritizing, working independently with minimal supervision, and meeting deadlines.
• Adaptability to evolving processes, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal workflows.
• Quick to comprehend concepts, make informed decisions, and resolve issues effectively.
• Associate’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with underwriting criteria for FHA, VA, and conventional mortgages (preferred).
• Experience in performing root cause analysis to identify problems, determine corrective actions, and enhance remediation processes (preferred).
