Senior Release Manager, CS Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact between Platform Management, Technical Program Management, Engineering, Testing, and Operations, ensuring effective and coherent communication along with shared alignment across all workstreams for each release.

• Keep precise source-of-truth trackers and documentation to ensure every stakeholder has access to the necessary information at the right time.

• Develop and uphold best practices in release management.

• Establish, monitor, and report on essential release health and operational metrics, ensuring that releases are executed on time and fulfill the outlined success criteria.

• Identify issues, risks, and regional variations prior to launch, and engage cross-functional partners to diagnose, escalate, and resolve these challenges.

• Operate independently while collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional leadership, maintaining thorough oversight of release readiness and proactively addressing potential blockers.

• Lead the official go/no-go decision-making process, taking ownership of the acceptance criteria and procedures to approve each release.

• Collaborate with Operations/Training to ensure agents are equipped for new tools.

• Manage post-launch tracking and retrospectives by monitoring adoption, identifying post-release issues, and conducting retrospectives to foster improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in technical program management, program management, release management, or product operations roles with a demonstrated history of success.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional product releases with visibility at the executive level.

• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, along with presentation capabilities for all organizational levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with best practices in product release processes and experience collaborating with engineering teams.

• Proficient in virtual collaboration and project management tools such as Asana, Jira, and Airtable.

• Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams.

• Practical, hands-on knowledge of the software product development life cycle and methodologies, with specific experience in Agile preferred.

• Naturally accountable and responsible; a self-starter who is motivated, focused, and independent.

• Strong strategic judgment, with the ability to interpret organizational objectives and translate them into actionable planning activities.

• Ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Advocate for continuous improvement.

• Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
