This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Identify and pursue new commercial business opportunities while managing a portfolio of current clients to nurture and expand relationships with Santander.
• Engage with customers to address their needs, concerns, or complaints, and schedule meetings with appropriate company representatives.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at community and civic events to enhance the bank's reputation and cultivate business opportunities.
• Assist in the execution and coordination of the company-wide business development call initiative.
• Pre-qualify clients within the designated market segment.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling with existing and prospective clients through strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic business development plan across the market.
• Reach out to local referral sources to stimulate business growth.
• Seek new business and maintain ongoing client relationships.
• Enhance brand visibility and recognition.
• Keep records of calls and outcomes, providing reports to management as required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience — Required.
• Over 9 years of experience in Commercial Automotive Financial Services, including Floorplan, Capital Loan, and Real Estate Lending — Required.
• Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis, encompassing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow evaluations — Required.
• Proven knowledge of Treasury Services and bank cross-sell products, including interest rate swaps and related treasury management solutions — Required.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel by car and/or air as necessary within the assigned territory — Required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word — Required.
• Expertise in complex contract negotiation and drafting — Required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
• Competence in analyzing emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and logistics across various stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and sales-driven leader with a proven track record in driving pipeline growth and meeting targets.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with proficiency in presentation and public speaking.
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills, capable of motivating stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high performance and accountability.
