This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Act as the Trusted Financial Advisor and Business Partner to clients, serving as the Commercial Banking client 'expert' and the primary contact for most client-related inquiries.
• Propel a targeted growth strategy and business development initiatives by establishing and sustaining a comprehensive understanding of the client's or prospect's business/industry.
• Address strategic matters including capital raising, regulatory compliance, ownership transition planning, M&A, revenue cycle management, and more.
• Inform the client about Key's expertise and capabilities in core product areas, such as cash management, derivatives, equipment finance, and beyond.
• Engage in proactive prospecting efforts, which include identification, qualification, and outreach, while also developing a robust Center of Influence (COI) referral network.
• Spot cross-sell opportunities and collaborate with fellow Community Bankers and Product Specialists to structure, coordinate, and sponsor credit and non-credit products/services.
• Continuously enhance functional/technical sales and credit knowledge, sharing this expertise with team members and effectively partnering with Credit Officers as the primary sponsor for credit decisions.
• Assemble and guide cross-functional teams to swiftly address customer requests when not able to handle them personally.
• Oversee credit processes and ensure asset quality, including underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management; prepare Asset Quality Reports and Risk Rating models for precise risk assessment.
• Mentor junior Relationship Managers and aid in enhancing team capabilities and performance.
• Conduct strategic client reviews and proactively provide insights and recommendations in line with client objectives.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and initiatives of the commercial team.
• Optimize profitability of the assigned portfolio by effectively communicating the value that Key delivers.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience (required)
• 7+ years of experience in financial services (required)
• 1+ years of formal commercial credit training and experience from a bank or financial institution (required)
• Proven track record of meeting performance targets (required)
• 5+ years of high-performing experience providing financial expertise, advice, and tailored solutions to commercial clients in middle- to upper-market revenue segments (preferred)
• Experience in relationship management teams with a solid understanding of the necessity of balancing business development and asset quality (preferred)
• Compensation for this role includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may encompass production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
