This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Perform discovery for new regulatory reports (CADOCs), determining the scope, data sources, and business rules.
• Ensure alignment of assumptions among various business areas and data engineering, maintaining uniqueness and consistency in regulatory reports.
• Create regulatory reports utilizing Databricks, AWS, and DBT, adhering to best practices for construction, versioning, and documentation.
• Establish monitoring of report data to proactively detect inconsistencies, delays, or discrepancies prior to submission to the Central Bank.
• Develop Databricks SQL dashboards to oversee source tables, anticipated data volumes, and the status of pipeline execution.
• Submit reports and monitor responses in regulatory systems (SISBACEN), interpreting layout errors, rejections, and returns from the Central Bank.
• Suggest and implement necessary fixes.
• Record development processes, business rules, and assumptions for each report.
• Modify pipelines and documentation in accordance with updates in Central Bank layouts, regulations, and internal assumptions.
• Serve as a liaison between business areas, translating business rules into solutions relevant to regulatory reports.
• Experience in generating regulatory reports (CADOCs) or previous experience with payment or financial institutions.
• Knowledge of Central Bank layouts and the SISBACEN interface, including the ability to interpret errors and returns.
• Capability to align assumptions with multiple business areas, ensuring consistency across reports.
• Strong ownership of the quality, accuracy, and delivery timelines of regulatory information.
• Proficiency in window functions, CTEs, complex aggregations, and query debugging.
• Experience in creating data quality tests.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of file handling, such as generating JSON or XML.
• Familiarity with using Databricks notebooks.
• Experience with Jobs/Workflows for scheduling pipelines and reports.
• Ability to debug jobs, review logs, and identify root causes of failures.
• Creation of dashboards in Databricks SQL.
• Navigation skills in Unity Catalog, schemas, and catalogs.
• Basic fluency in branching, committing, pulling, pushing, and resolving simple merge conflicts.
• Ability to version scripts/queries and document changes in pull requests, preferably through Git integration in Databricks.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding YAML.

• Nice-to-haves: practical experience with AWS, specifically S3.
• Nice-to-haves: prior experience in building regulatory reports or interpreting and translating complex business rules.
