Financial Management, Palantir Data Analyst – Analyst and Manager Levels

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist clients in the Department of War with the design, development, and enhancement of innovative solutions within the Vantage platform utilizing Palantir Foundry.

• Enhance financial management practices, bolster financial reporting and data transparency, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Develop and maintain data solutions using Palantir Foundry, which includes creating pipelines, transforms, datasets, and managing data lineage.

• Create and improve applications within Palantir Workshop.

• Implement data processing using Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark.

• Collaborate with relational and analytical data storage solutions such as Databricks, Oracle, Postgres, and SQL Server.

• Employ established data modeling principles.

• Support or integrate solutions with DoD Advana/Vantage as required by projects.

• Manage federal financial data encompassing budget, execution, and accounting information.

• Enforce data controls and assist with reconciliation requirements.

• Diagnose and resolve issues with data solutions.

• Communicate intricate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• At the Manager level, oversee and mentor team members involved in projects.

• At the Manager level, lead diverse teams, influence senior stakeholders, and promote collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess and maintain an active Secret Federal or DoW security clearance.

• A Bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience with Palantir Foundry is essential.

• Familiarity with Palantir, including Workshop, is required.

• Experience in supporting or integrating with DoD Advana/Vantage is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark-based data processing is necessary.

• Experience in building or supporting data solutions using Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, transforms, datasets, and data lineage, is essential.

• Background in working with relational and analytical data stores, such as Databricks, Oracle, Postgres, and SQL Server, is required.

• Strong understanding of data modeling principles is necessary.

• Experience with federal financial data, including budget, execution, and accounting information, is crucial.

• Knowledge of data controls and reconciliation processes is required.

• For Managers: 5+ years of experience is necessary.

• For Managers: Proven capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders is essential.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% based on client requirements.

• Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred: Direct experience in supporting DoW financial, PPBE, comptroller/CFO, or audit-related programs.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Federal financial systems such as GFEBS, Navy ERP, DAI, and DEAMS.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Federal financial management and accounting concepts, data structures, and policies, including Treasury Financial Manual, OMB Circular A-123, SFFAS, and USSGL.

• Preferred: Capability to operate independently in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

• Preferred: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD methodologies, and Agile delivery practices in secure settings.

• Preferred: Prior experience with Advana/Vantage ecosystems or similar DoD enterprise analytics platforms.

• Preferred: Certifications in Palantir, AWS, Azure, or Databricks.

• Preferred: Understanding of data governance, metadata management, lineage, and access controls in classified or controlled unclassified environments.

• Preferred: Comprehension of DoW data, security, and compliance frameworks, including RMF and ATO processes.

• Preferred: Previous consulting experience aiding federal or defense clients.
