This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and hiring partners to create effective recruiting strategies for APAC Sales positions.
• Oversee the complete recruiting lifecycle for Sales roles, serving as the Subject Matter Expert for APAC hiring.
• Establish a diverse candidate sourcing mix that includes passive, active, and referral channels.
• Craft and publish precise job descriptions that attract qualified candidates.
• Leverage talent market insights and research to develop sourcing strategies and guide hiring decisions.
• Work closely with external recruitment agencies across various APAC countries to ensure alignment on role specifications, candidate quality, and hiring updates.
• Utilize data from the applicant tracking system, candidate feedback, and recruiting metrics to manage pipelines and suggest necessary adjustments.
• Foster a thoughtful and timely candidate experience through effective communication and robust process management.
• Facilitate weekly hiring team meetings for the region, reviewing metrics such as time to fill, conversion rates, and scorecard data.
• Collaborate closely with the Candidate Experience team to enhance interview processes and ensure timely scheduling for both hiring teams and candidates, as well as coordinating with the region’s Sourcer to establish proactive hiring benches.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Talent Acquisition processes and share best recruiting practices with the team.
• Advocate for GitLab's values and culture in candidate discussions and external engagements.
• Experience in recruiting high-performing Sales talent, demonstrating strength in creating diverse candidate pipelines through innovative sourcing techniques.
• Proven success in hiring across multiple APAC countries, including Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and India.
• Familiarity with the fast-paced software-as-a-service environment and experience in attracting strong sales talent, including passive candidates.
• Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with hiring managers, partners, and agency recruiters across various time zones.
• Strong judgment in balancing competing priorities, maintaining organization, and delivering results within deadlines.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system, preferably Greenhouse, along with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust messaging for candidates, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• A candidate-first approach and a strong commitment to providing a high-quality experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
• Willingness to learn and utilize tools such as Git and GitLab.
• Prior remote working experience in a public technology company is advantageous.
