Senior Reconciliations and Payments Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of daily reconciliation monitoring, verifying bank cash against client balances and investigating discrepancies or mismatches.

• Address reconciliation discrepancies comprehensively with engineering teams, banks, and third-party payment processors.

• Support month-end closing processes, vendor reporting, and regulatory reporting through diligent maintenance of reporting.

• Utilize Excel and data visualization tools for monitoring and tracking reconciliation data effectively.

• Assist in the automation of manual reconciliation tasks using AI and other technological solutions.

• Occasionally manage manual money transfers as needed.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, treasury, and external banking partners.

• Provide coverage for maternity leave on a fixed-term basis.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in reconciliation, payment operations, or treasury operations.

• Background as a reconciliation specialist, payment analyst, or accountant with exposure to reconciliation activities.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Familiarity with data visualization/BI tools such as Databricks, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar applications.

• Understanding of payment mechanisms and the flow of money between banks and internal systems.

• Detail-oriented and diligent, particularly when managing monetary transactions.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced and frequently evolving environments.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication with both internal teams and external partners.

• Availability to start immediately or on very short notice.

• Willingness to engage in a fixed-term contract lasting approximately 5 months.

• Experience in a neobank or fintech environment is preferred.

• A background in mathematics or quantitative fields is preferred.

• Previous experience in developing or enhancing reconciliation or payment workflow automations is preferred.

• Basic SQL or data analysis skills are preferred.
