Senior React Native Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete mobile development process for both iOS and Android utilizing our React Native / Expo framework.

• Develop and sustain shared infrastructure components such as push notifications, analytics, media streaming, and subscription flows.

• Design scalable codebases capable of evolving alongside the product and its user base.

• Integrate AI-driven features including streamed LLM responses, generative content, and intelligent notifications.

• Work in tandem with product and design teams to deliver high-quality, pixel-perfect user experiences.

• Play a role in enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and maintaining code quality standards.

• Collaborate closely with the CTO to establish engineering practices that will guide future hires.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and deploying production-level React Native applications on both iOS and Android platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of Expo (both managed and bare workflows), React Navigation, and state management techniques.

• Familiarity with Reanimated, Skia, and Apollo Client.

• Comprehensive understanding of push notifications (APNs / FCM), background processing, and app life cycle management.

• Practical experience with Supabase or similar Backend-as-a-Service platforms, as well as PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of RevenueCat or other in-app subscription management systems.

• Proficient in TypeScript with a strong emphasis on code quality.

• Ability to work asynchronously in a remote-first environment, demonstrating excellent written communication skills.
