Senior React Native Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain high-performance cross-platform mobile applications utilizing React Native.

• Take ownership of architectural decisions and establish best practices for the mobile codebase.

• Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs, third-party SDKs, and native modules.

• Write and connect native code (Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java) as necessary.

• Enhance app performance, memory consumption, and startup duration.

• Oversee the entire release process — building, testing, and deploying to the App Store and Google Play.

• Review code, mentor mid-level and junior developers, and maintain engineering standards.

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and clients to fulfill project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional mobile development experience, with significant expertise in React Native.

• Mastery of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

• Practical experience in integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar) into applications.

• Strong grasp of React fundamentals — including hooks, context, component lifecycle, and performance optimization.

• Experience with state management solutions (Redux / Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Context API).

• Solid background in using React Navigation.

• Proficiency in integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Experience in writing native modules and bridging native code (iOS: Swift/Objective-C; Android: Kotlin/Java).

• Familiarity with native build tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, CocoaPods).

• Experience in publishing and maintaining applications on the App Store and Google Play.

• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, offline capabilities, and security best practices.

• Experience with Git and collaborative version control practices.
