Senior React Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and develop pages for the Online Banking application.

• Offer technical guidance and assess effort estimations.

• Determine the best technology solutions to meet business requirements.

• Provide daily support for applications.

• Write code and supervise members of a distributed development team.

• Join a team of developers and automation engineers, supported by a product manager and scrum master.

• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders, as well as other Online Banking teams.

• Design systems and carry out hands-on implementation.

• Acquire practical knowledge of the client-facing web application, microservices, data architecture, databases, and related systems.

• Establish expertise and deliver frameworks or standards.

• Estimate major features and releases.

• Decompose feature sets, lead implementations and releases, and train team members.

• Facilitate technical designs to achieve consensus and approval from the Architecture Review Team.

• Design and create reusable enterprise solutions, frameworks, interfaces, and services.

• Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes.

• Evaluate solution options, trade-offs, and cost/benefit implications.

• Conduct group training sessions or informal learning events.

• Update and document processes.

• Identify opportunities for refactoring and remediation of technical debt.

• Ensure code quality and mentor junior engineers.

• Engage in architecture and design discussions, as well as large-scale feature planning.

• Participate in code reviews and pursue ongoing learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience in the same field.

• Over 8 years of experience as a Front End/UI-focused Software Engineer.

• Strong experience with React 16+, Redux, Mobx Store Management, Node.js, Typescript, ES6, CSS3, CSS Preprocessors, Grid Layout, and Jest Test.

• Practical experience with Agile/Iterative delivery methodologies.

• Capability to influence architecture and design decisions.

• Proficient in analyzing and troubleshooting production issues.

• Experienced in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) delivery.

• Familiarity with distributed systems and Microservices architecture.

• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services, web applications, and transactional databases.

• Knowledge of enterprise integration services/solutions and exposure to API gateways.

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Docker, and Jenkins.

• Bonus points for experience with regulated financial organizations.
