Senior R&D Engineer – Transformers Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Play a pivotal role in the development of technology, products, solutions, and associated Intellectual Property (IP).

• Act as the primary contact within Research & Development for specific product-related inquiries and maintenance tasks.

• Identify, suggest, and execute innovative solutions that enhance business performance.

• Maintain recognized proficiency in a specialized domain by integrating the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies.

• Develop creative strategies to tackle complex engineering problems by generating ideas, formulating hypotheses, and establishing validation techniques.

• Record technical findings, designs, calculations, and project outcomes.

• Contribute to the generation of IP and assist in the formulation of project IP strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field.

• Over 8 years of experience in electrical design, ideally in transformer design and development.

• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards such as UL, CSA, NEMA, IEEE, and IEC.

• Proficiency in using simulation software for transformer design and analysis.

• Advanced communication skills in both English and Spanish.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Customer-focused attitude complemented by strong problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in manufacturing processes, transformer assembly, and the interpretation of test reports is a plus.

• A valid U.S. visa and passport are preferred.
