This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of analytics and reporting for the Portfolio Development team, concentrating on SKU productivity and capital allocation across over 20,000 SKUs.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and Product Strategy stakeholders to grasp strategic inquiries and develop analyses and reports.
• Utilize statistical techniques like conjoint analysis and multivariate regression to pinpoint product attributes that enhance productivity.
• Convert analysis into actionable insights regarding portfolio expansion, contraction, or adjustments.
• Detect and manage confounding factors such as stock-outs, new or discontinued SKUs, and seasonality.
• Identify data discrepancies at the source and rectify records in Snowflake.
• Partner with upstream platform owners to enhance source data and downstream analytics.
• Independently present findings to both technical and non-technical executive audiences.
• Propose and sustain regular analytics and reporting on SKU productivity.
• Leverage AI to expedite data exploration, automate repetitive reporting, identify errors, and boost output.
• 2-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or statistics within similar SKU-driven industries.
• Strong foundation in statistics or operations research, encompassing regression, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis, and optimization.
• Proficient in SQL and Python programming languages.
• Practical experience with Snowflake, including the ability to write back to correct or cleanse production data.
• Proven history of presenting findings and challenging assumptions with senior stakeholders and executives.
• Ability to execute tasks independently and prioritize analyses in alignment with business objectives.
• Demonstrated curiosity and thoroughness in investigating numerical results.
• Understanding of SKU-level economics, such as sell-through rates, margins, inventory positions, and lifecycle stages.
• Considers data quality integral to the role and addresses root causes directly.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML in a business setting for task automation.
• Excellent English communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools in conjunction with Snowflake.
• Exposure to margin, pricing, or demand forecasting data.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or luxury/home furnishings sectors.
