This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance the team's quality strategy encompassing functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Create, execute, and uphold automated test coverage utilizing established frameworks and methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers from the refinement stage through to release to pinpoint risks, refine acceptance criteria, and integrate quality into the delivery process.
• Evaluate complex workflows that involve distributed services, asynchronous processing, APIs, and web applications.
• Analyze production issues and defects reported by customers.
• Convert insights into regression coverage and improvements in processes.
• Highlight quality risks early and champion practical solutions that safeguard the customer experience.
• Enhance the reliability of tests, execution speed, observability, and feedback loops for developers.
• Operate independently across services, APIs, and user-facing workflows.
• Over 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or a similar role.
• Practical experience in designing and maintaining automated tests across API, service, and UI layers.
• Proficiency in Python and pytest for test automation.
• Familiarity with contemporary testing frameworks and automation methodologies.
• Strong background in API testing.
• Capability to develop test strategies for ambiguous, cross-service, or high-risk modifications.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effective and straightforward communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions within engineering and product teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test reporting, and management of test environments.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Experience with GraphQL (Nice to Have).
• Familiarity with Go testing ecosystems (Nice to Have).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (Nice to Have).
• Experience in writing or reviewing Go code (Nice to Have).
