Senior Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance testing processes and automation within an agile framework

• Provide coaching and mentorship to the team on optimal testing methodologies

• Review the code of peers and guide junior team members

• Serve as the team's trusted expert on QA and automation topics

• Deliver evidence-based insights regarding release readiness

• Develop robust automated tests regarded as production-quality code

• Ensure comprehensive functional and non-functional test coverage

• Configure Continuous Integration (CI) to maximize team advantages while balancing coverage and assurance

• Promote quality practices across multiple teams

• Collaborate with developers to create scalable systems and troubleshoot using a variety of tools

• Support back-office tools for visualizing elements of the Delivery Network

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in writing automated tests (e.g., Cypress.io)

• Familiarity with standard test automation design patterns

• Experience in building frameworks suited for Continuous Delivery (CD) environments

• Proven track record of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Strong hands-on understanding of RESTful web services and HTTP protocols

• Experience in API testing; knowledge of Postman or Pact is advantageous

• Familiarity or experience with Java 17+ and React.js 18 is a bonus

• Experience with tools such as SonarQube, Artillery, and Zephyr Scale/TM4J is a plus

• Exposure to cloud services like AWS, GCP, Amazon SNS/SQS, and Apache Kafka is a bonus

• Confidence in testing within a collaborative, agile setting

• Comfortable collaborating with software engineers, configuring environments, querying databases, automating tests, and developing frameworks

• Successful completion of a background check
