Senior Quality Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain automated testing frameworks for APIs, services, and user interfaces.

• Integrate quality practices from the outset by collaborating with engineers during both design and implementation phases.

• Advocate for shift-left testing and promote test-driven development methodologies.

• Create test strategies that are compatible with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.

• Generate automated tests for various scenarios, including functional, integration, performance, and reliability testing.

• Ensure that test coverage facilitates quick delivery without leading to fragile or sluggish pipelines.

• Collaborate with CI/CD teams to embed automated testing into continuous delivery processes.

• Enhance observability and diagnostic capabilities to enable quicker defect identification and resolution.

• Work alongside engineers to bolster system testability, resilience, and design transparency.

• Assist in establishing quality standards and patterns utilized across various teams.

• Guide and mentor fellow engineers in quality engineering and testing methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, test automation, or SDET positions.

• Proficient programming skills in one or more contemporary programming languages.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.

• Strong grasp of API testing, service-level testing, and distributed systems.

• Experience with testing event-driven and asynchronous systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checkpoints.

• Experience with relational databases and ensuring data integrity.

• Knowledge of cloud-native systems and SaaS architectures.
