Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead quality assurance initiatives for essential software applications

• Design, develop, and sustain sophisticated test automation frameworks for backend systems, network integrations, and multi-layered web applications

• Oversee comprehensive testing of RESTful APIs, third-party API integrations, and secure network communication processes

• Conduct testing of AWS deployments utilizing EC2, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB

• Ensure compliance with AWS IAM policies and security group protocols

• Develop and run T-SQL scripts to verify relational database schemas and data modifications

• Administer and test search/indexing layers constructed on OpenSearch

• Incorporate generative AI technologies into testing processes

• Automatically generate mock data and edge-case scenarios while optimizing boilerplate test script creation

• Detect, document, isolate, and monitor bugs using Jira/Azure DevOps

• Provide logs, network traces, and stack traces to expedite developer resolutions

• Report directly to the CTO with no subordinate staff

• Operate remotely from a home office setting with limited travel

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of professional software QA engineering experience, focusing heavily on test automation and backend validation

• Strong expertise in C# and the .NET framework

• Experience in writing, testing, and debugging PHP backend code

• Practical experience in testing workloads deployed on AWS EC2, AWS Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB

• Familiarity with managing AWS IAM security parameters and security groups

• High level of proficiency with relational database systems using T-SQL, including queries, stored procedures, and joins

• Experience in validating telemetry or index structures within OpenSearch/Elasticsearch

• Advanced understanding of RESTful API standards

• Proficiency with tools like Postman, SoapUI, or automated HTTP clients

• Practical experience with AI-assisted testing tools and frameworks, such as Playwright with AI-driven locators/self-healing selectors and Xray, is preferred

• Familiarity with LLMs such as Claude or ChatGPT for generating test cases, conducting log analysis, performing root-cause analysis, or creating synthetic test data is preferred

• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude API integrations, or similar AI technologies is preferred

• Documented success in incorporating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

• Must reside in the United States

• Must have legal authorization to work for any US employer

• Ability to occasionally lift or move office materials and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
