Senior QA Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the continuous enhancement of applications utilized for monitoring and managing IDEA grants, covering both Part B and C.

• Conduct functional, regression, user acceptance (UAT), usability, and accessibility testing.

• Create, implement, and uphold manual test cases, test scripts, and testing plans.

• Leverage testing tools to support and enhance automated testing initiatives wherever feasible.

• Analyze business requirements and technical documentation to guarantee thorough test coverage.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts to clarify requirements and formulate test scenarios, including limited requirements gathering for test planning.

• Execute API testing and validate databases to ensure data integrity and system accuracy.

• Run SQL queries to confirm application functionality and data processing.

• Record testing outcomes, defects, and suggestions.

• Engage in defect triage, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

• Partner with development teams to ensure that changes are correctly transitioned into production environments.

• Support projects that range from minor enhancements to extensive application initiatives.

• Help maintain user and system documentation as business processes evolve.

• Take part in business process improvement and validation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing.

• Certified in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) with comprehensive knowledge of accessibility principles and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

• Extensive experience with manual testing methodologies and best practices.

• 5 years of experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts.

• 5 years of high proficiency in SQL queries and database validation, along with API testing and web services validation.

• 5 years of experience in developing test plans, test cases, and test documentation based on business requirements.

• 5 years of capability to analyze requirements and convert them into thorough testing strategies.

• 5 years of experience in tracking and managing defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

• 5 years of certification in Accessibility Testing.

• 5 years of experience with Section 508 Accessibility Standards.

• 5 years of experience testing applications for compliance with government accessibility standards.

• 5 years of experience with accessibility testing tools and methodologies.

• 5 years of experience validating WCAG and Section 508 compliance requirements.

• 5 years of exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• 5 years of strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• 5 years of experience working effectively with business stakeholders, developers, project managers, and other IT teams.

• 5 years of experience in Agile or similar collaborative development environments.

• 5 years of experience in supporting government applications or public-sector technology environments (highly preferred).

• 5 years of experience testing compliance-driven or grant management systems (highly preferred).
