Senior QA Test Automation, TS, Playwright

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance automated quality engineering across various testing layers.

• Develop and sustain TypeScript and Playwright test frameworks.

• Automate API and integration testing while applying contract testing principles.

• Collaborate with developers on unit and component testing, including mocking, stubbing, and testability.

• Integrate tests with Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Implement test reporting and establish quality gates.

• Utilize Git and engage in code reviews.

• Manage test data and perform SQL-based validation.

• Diagnose failures across tests, applications, and environments.

• Coach and collaborate with engineering teams regarding risk, coverage, and maintainability.

• Participate in CV reviews, HR calls, interviews, client interviews, and decision-making stages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in quality engineering or as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) across multiple testing layers.

• Proficient in TypeScript and practical experience in enhancing Playwright frameworks.

• Experience in automating API and integration tests, along with a solid understanding of contract testing.

• Ability to collaborate with developers on unit and component testing, including mocking, stubbing, and ensuring testability.

• Practical experience with Azure DevOps pipeline integration, test reporting, and quality gates.

• Proficient in using Git and conducting code reviews.

• Familiarity with test data management and SQL.

• Experience in diagnosing failures across tests, applications, and environments.

• Strong collaboration and coaching abilities.

• Pragmatic mindset towards risk, coverage, and maintainability.

• Must work from the European Union region and possess a valid work permit.

• Nice to have: experience with .NET, React, Azure Service Bus, or distributed systems.

• Nice to have: knowledge of accessibility fundamentals (WCAG), performance basics, and awareness of security/privacy in test data.

• Nice to have: familiarity with AI/LLM tools for quality assurance.

• Nice to have: understanding of emerging AI-driven practices and a willingness to explore and experiment.
