This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and sustain reusable integration, end-to-end, and load test automation frameworks.
• Utilize AI-driven development and agentic coding workflows to expedite test creation.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct manual exploratory smoke testing, functional testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Recognize coverage gaps and suggest enhancements to minimize system fragility and technical debt.
• Employ SAST/DAST tools for security testing and Axe/Lighthouse for accessibility evaluation.
• Guide intermediate and junior engineers on testing methodologies and responsible usage of AI coding tools.
• Engage in design discussions and Agile ceremonies to promote testability and maintainability.
• Document testing strategies and automation patterns effectively.
• Oversee production incidents and operational metrics to enhance quality.
• Assist in scaling Zensurance’s high-traffic commercial insurance platform and influencing its quality strategy.
• 5–8+ years of experience in Test Automation and Quality Assurance.
• Strong familiarity with modern end-to-end automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, WebDriverIO, or Selenium.
• Proficient in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
• Background in API testing and automation.
• Experience with BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing tools.
• Knowledge of manual functional, exploratory, and UAT testing.
• Previous experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Capability to critically assess and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and maintainability.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of quality initiatives.
• Nice to have: Experience with Salesforce or Salesforce-integrated systems.
• Nice to have: Testing experience with microservices and micro frontends.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with monorepos or trunk-based development.
• Nice to have: Experience with SonarCloud/SonarQube.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, or AWS.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation workflows.
• Nice to have: Experience with accessibility testing tools.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Nice to have: Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Nice to have: Skills in agentic coding, prompt engineering, AI-generated test case creation, and AI-produced code validation.
