Senior QA Engineer – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on intricate web applications, focusing on both UI and API layers.

• Create and enhance comprehensive test plans.

• Develop and sustain automated tests, primarily utilizing Cypress.

• Work in close collaboration with developers within an Agile framework.

• Monitor and organize test cases using JIRA, TestRail, and Qmetry.

• Recognize manual testing processes suitable for automation to improve reliability and maintainability.

• Start with predominantly manual QA, evolving towards a projected 70/30 automation-to-manual ratio in the medium term.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a senior-level Manual QA.

• Practical experience in writing or maintaining automated tests for UI or API scenarios.

• An automation-focused mindset with a solid understanding of programming concepts and logical problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with HTTP, HTML, AJAX, JSON, REST APIs, and client-server architecture.

• Basic SQL knowledge.

• Proficient in written and spoken English; interviews will be conducted in English.

• Ability to communicate fluently in Russian or Ukrainian.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.

• Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD systems.

• Preferred: experience with Agile methodologies.

• Preferred: familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, and Qmetry.

• Preferred: basic understanding of Linux and the Ubuntu command line.

• Preferred: basic knowledge of Git.

• Must operate as an independent contractor (sole proprietor / IP); incubator arrangements are not permissible.
