Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and implement test cases for both mobile and web applications.

• Utilize Postman for API testing.

• Formulate testing strategies to ensure a thorough quality assessment of development and platform outputs.

• Engage in daily stand-ups and sprint planning to aid developer priorities and address inquiries regarding defects.

• Document detailed test scenarios, data, and application context to replicate errors for engineering analysis and resolution.

• Reproduce issues initiated by customers and assist in resolving them in collaboration with developers and clients.

• Attend UX and product design meetings to grasp product expectations and develop testing strategies.

• Operate in an agile development environment, overseeing user story and task status as well as t-shirt sizing.

• Concentrate on customer experience, product quality, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing development.

• Record test cases and testing strategies in Azure DevOps and Confluence.

• Provide updates on ongoing projects and communicate effectively with team members and the Technology team.

• Report directly to the Director of Applications.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role.

• At least 3 years of experience in testing web applications built with Vue.js or React.js.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in testing mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Proven experience in developing test plans and test cases.

• Experience in curating test data sets.

• Background in developing automated test plans.

• Familiarity with testing web-based APIs.

• Experience in testing i18n localization applications.

• Knowledge of UX style guides for Android and iOS.

• Bonus points for experience with veterinary practice management software such as Cornerstone, AviMark, or Datapoint.

• Travel is not required.

• Ability to learn quickly, be self-motivated, and follow direction effectively.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.

• Must be able to work in front of a computer for extended periods.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the US.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Must be able to work during regular US business hours.

• Regular participation in remote meetings and calls via Teams is required.
