This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and take ownership of the QA strategy, which includes detailed test plans, test cases, and both automated and manual testing methods.
• Spearhead exploratory, functional, and regression testing for new features prior to their production release.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to assess test plans and ensure comprehensive coverage across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform regular production sweeps and smoke tests to verify that essential donor and nonprofit processes operate correctly.
• Champion user experience by pinpointing edge cases, usability challenges, and discrepancies.
• Facilitate the growth of test automation coverage utilizing frameworks like Cypress.
• Execute automation suites, evaluate failures, and assist with the creation and upkeep of tests.
• Identify, document, track, and confirm the resolution of bugs and defects.
• Test and validate APIs to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
• Engage in planning and design reviews to pinpoint risks and establish acceptance criteria throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Over 5 years of professional experience in a Quality Assurance or Software Test Engineer capacity.
• Skilled in creating test plans and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications.
• Profound knowledge of manual and exploratory testing methodologies.
• Comfortable working with test automation frameworks such as Cypress and Jest; capable of reading, modifying, and executing tests.
• Experience with testing RESTful APIs and utilizing tools like Postman or Insomnia.
• Proficient with bug tracking platforms such as Jira or Linear, as well as version control systems like GitLab.
• Strong grasp of the software development life cycle (SDLC), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and agile practices.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of user empathy and a passion for uncovering elusive bugs.
• Exceptional communication skills for clearly conveying bugs, test outcomes, and quality risks.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
