Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Deliver Quality Assurance (QA) support across various projects by establishing appropriate testing procedures and executing necessary tests for each.

• Develop test strategies and plans for products or projects.

• Spearhead test automation and its incorporation into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Promote quality metrics and foster continuous improvement.

• Assist in technical scoping and preparation of client proposals.

• Ensure software quality through effective testing, automation, and solid QA processes.

• Determine the QA approach required for multiple projects and implement it in a hands-on manner.

• Serve as the primary quality reference for the supported teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience.

• Proficient in both manual and automated software testing.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, pytest, or equivalent.

• Extensive experience in testing REST APIs, microservices, and service-to-service integrations.

• Knowledge of API contracts and asynchronous workflows.

• Background in testing distributed and event-driven systems.

• Experience with Kafka-based workflows, asynchronous processing, retries, failure scenarios, and service dependencies.

• Practical experience in load, stress, and endurance testing for high-volume data ingestion, APIs, and distributed services.

• Proven ability in validating ETL/data pipelines, ensuring data transformations, consistency, completeness, and accuracy across extensive datasets.

• Understanding of testing methodologies and QA best practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Nice to have: experience with performance and load testing tools.

• Nice to have: knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and REST Assured.

• Nice to have: programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript.

• Nice to have: familiarity with mobile network KPIs, alarms, OSS concepts, and 4G/5G network data structures.
