This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Macedonia.
• Develop, implement, and deploy Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) automation frameworks while ensuring their stability as the suites expand.
• Evaluate APIs and microservice architectures in conjunction with the user interface.
• Conduct Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) in partnership with analysts, developers, and clients.
• Identify and troubleshoot flaky and intermittent failures, focusing on uncovering root causes rather than simply adding retries.
• Leverage AI coding agents to enhance test design, authoring, and maintenance, while meticulously validating their outputs.
• Contribute to the establishment of AI-assisted and agent-driven testing methodologies, which include instruction files, reusable prompts, and review processes.
• Broaden automation coverage to mobile platforms as project demands necessitate, with appropriate support.
• Mentor peers and disseminate effective practices within the QA community.
• Clearly articulate quality risks and technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Operate autonomously, organize your own tasks, and influence both the team and the broader QA community.
• Over 5 years of experience in test automation, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript in a production environment.
• Proficient understanding of Playwright’s core functionalities: fixtures, locator strategy, auto-waiting, network interception and mocking, trace-based debugging, and parallel execution.
• Experience in testing responsive and mobile-web behavior utilizing Playwright, encompassing device emulation, viewports, touch interactions, and cross-browser testing.
• Proven track record in defining and implementing framework architecture, rather than merely extending existing frameworks.
• Experience with API automation and microservices testing, utilizing HTTP and network inspection tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes using any major pipeline tool.
• Practical experience in BDD within an Agile team context.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted practices, including generating tests with AI and recognizing tests that pass but provide little value.
• Ability to question and challenge from a testing standpoint, coupled with a strong desire to quickly become a subject-matter expert.
• Nice to have: hands-on experience with native mobile automation on iOS and/or Android, preferably using Appium with WebdriverIO.
• Nice to have: familiarity with another automation stack, such as Selenium-based or non-JS frameworks.
• Nice to have: experience in building or orchestrating multi-step AI agent workflows for test generation, execution, or triage.
• Nice to have: exposure to performance or cloud testing.
• Nice to have: involvement in mentoring, delivering conference talks, or writing blogs.
• Comprehensive health insurance coverage for all employees.
• Educational programs that include training and certification opportunities.
• Wellbeing initiatives to support employee health.
• Complimentary coffee, beverages, and snacks available at the workplace.
• Company-sponsored dinners.
• Engaging company events such as ski trips, karting, laser-tag, wine tasting, picnics, and cooking classes.
• Competitive salary structure.
• 24 days of annual vacation.
• Yearly company events that include the entire team.
• Opportunities to work on challenging projects.
• A culture of honest feedback and open communication.
• Reasonable accommodations provided during the interview process.
