Senior QA Automation Engineer (German-speaking)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• You will design and implement automated testing solutions for our clients, particularly in transformation projects and migrations.

• You will confidently utilize a variety of test automation tools and frameworks tailored to project requirements.

• You will create (automated) test cases, generate documentation and test reports, and take an active role during the testing phase.

• You will define work packages and assume responsibility for coordinating (sub-)projects, including managing implementation until business acceptance (sign-off).

• You will serve as an innovator in the domain of test automation, actively contributing to process enhancements and advocating for new approaches and ideas.

• You will lead test automation and test management at Wavestone while continuously developing colleagues and clients through training initiatives.

• You will employ AI-assisted development tools in your daily work to boost productivity, enhance code quality, and maintain thorough documentation, contributing to robust and sustainable solutions.

• You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to devise solutions for specific problems, occasionally leveraging existing systems and solutions.

• You will cultivate professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure the successful delivery of proposed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business informatics, computer science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in test automation, with strong experience delivering at the project or program level.

• Proficiency in common test automation tools and frameworks.

• Strong expertise in test management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TPI Next, TMMi) and their practical application.

• Experience with modern test automation tools such as Tosca, and integrating testing into CI/CD and DevOps environments.

• A solid understanding of quality assurance practices and automation strategies within the financial services sector.

• Experience in working within interdisciplinary teams and contributing to both conceptual and coordination tasks.

• ISTQB or similar certifications are advantageous.

• A strong customer orientation for both internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

• A strong interest in AI-driven tools and the ability to effectively utilize them in everyday work.

• Fluent in business-level German and possess a good command of English.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
