This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• We are looking for a highly skilled Testing Tools Development Engineer to design, create, and sustain sophisticated testing frameworks and automation tools.
• Develop a scalable, reusable, and integrated testing infrastructure that facilitates functional, performance, and security testing across various platforms and environments.
• Create reusable libraries, plugins, and CLI tools to assist in test execution, reporting, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Construct scalable test harnesses for distributed systems, microservices, mobile native applications, and cloud SaaS solutions.
• Write robust and maintainable code in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript to automate testing workflows.
• Integrate tools with version control systems (Git), CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Harness), and artifact repositories.
• Containerize tools using Docker and manage test environments with Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to identify testing challenges and deliver effective tooling solutions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Tools development.
• Strong programming skills in Java, emphasizing tooling and automation.
• Capability to extend and customize open-source tools such as: Functional/UI Testing: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium.
• Proficiency in API Testing: Postman/Bruno, REST Assured, Karate.
• Experience in integrating testing tools with: Test Management & Issue Tracking: Jira, Qmetry.
• Knowledge of Reporting & Analytics tools: ReportPortal, Allure, ExtentReports, Grafana.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines: Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube.
• Experience with Device Farms: BrowserStack, LambdaTest for cross-platform and mobile testing.
• Strong understanding of relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, along with experience in publish-subscribe messaging systems like Kafka.
• Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, and event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
• Well-versed in Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies, focusing on iterative development and continuous delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven history of effective work in cross-functional teams.
