Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and quality assurance strategies for web, mobile (Android/iOS), and API-based applications.

• Ensure product quality, reliability, and scalability by spearheading automation initiatives and enhancing test coverage.

• Design and implement automated testing solutions while defining corrective and preventive actions aligned with customer expectations and business requirements.

• Develop and refine automation frameworks, incorporating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Manage the complete testing lifecycle and take ownership of the quality of products delivered to clients.

• Validate intricate business logic, calculations, and mathematical operations to guarantee data accuracy and functional correctness.

• Conduct data validation and reconciliation testing utilizing SQL queries, database analysis, Excel, VLOOKUPs, and other analytical tools.

• Test and validate RESTful APIs to ensure data integrity and service reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web, mobile, API, and enterprise software applications.

• In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Practical experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, or comparable technologies.

• Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for test automation development.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.

• Strong background in API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, REST Assured, or similar, including testing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.

• Advanced SQL capabilities with experience in writing complex queries for backend validation, data verification, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and data tie-out testing.

• Experience in validating complex business workflows, integrations, calculations, and data-intensive enterprise applications.

• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps (TFS), Zephyr, Xray, or TestRail.

• Experience with Android and iOS mobile applications is a plus.

• Required experience in utilizing AI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, AI-powered test automation platforms) to enhance automation coverage and quality.
