This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the quality and dependability of designated products throughout UI, APIs, and data.
• Collaborate with the QA Manager to establish testing strategies and risk coverage, utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.
• Develop, enhance, and optimize scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
• Review test scripts, share testing methodologies, and proactively address design issues.
• Strategize and conduct functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Create and implement both manual and automated test cases that encompass functionality, performance, reliability, positive, negative, and edge scenarios.
• Evaluate risk and prioritize testing efforts in accordance with delivery schedules.
• Align test cases with business requirements and functional specifications.
• Investigate intricate or sporadic failures to identify root causes.
• Document and communicate defects, verify resolutions, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
• Write and execute intricate SQL queries to ensure data integrity, transformations, and adherence to business logic.
• Validate data through processes of ingestion, normalization, and processing workflows.
• Confirm UI/API-triggered database interactions, migrations, schema alterations, and backfills.
• Develop and sustain reusable test data sets along with database setup and teardown routines.
• Implement and review Java automation scripts utilizing Selenium WebDriver and Playwright in accordance with the Page Object Model.
• Contribute to the design of the automation framework, reusable components, reporting, and management of test data.
• Integrate database validation within automated test suites.
• Enhance the reliability, execution speed, and maintenance costs of automation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and aid in optimizing DevOps workflows, including parallel execution.
• Assist with performance and scalability testing.
• Employ AI tools for generating test cases, creating test data, analyzing defects, facilitating browser interactions, exploratory testing, and script production.
• Collaborate with the QA Manager, developers, and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor and support junior QA engineers.
• Engage in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards.
• Over 8 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Minimum of 5 years in test automation.
• Proficient programming skills in Java.
• Practical experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
• Familiarity with design patterns such as the Page Object Model.
• Experience in contributing to the design or significant refactoring of an automation framework.
• Strong background in API testing.
• Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in relational database validation.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and version control systems.
• Proven ability to run automation reliably within pipelines.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a history of resolving complex issues to their root cause.
• Practical experience utilizing AI tools for generating test cases, creating test data, and analyzing defects.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol tooling, such as Playwright MCP.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and the ability to assess AI-generated outputs.
• Preferred: experience in the fields of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or security-oriented products.
• Preferred: understanding of security concepts including vulnerabilities, risk assessment, APIs, and data protection practices.
• Preferred: experience with MCP servers or agent-based testing workflows.
• Preferred: background in testing ETL/data pipelines or large-scale/NoSQL data repositories.
• Preferred: experience in performance/load testing, cloud environments, or containerized testing infrastructures.
• Ability to quickly learn and teach new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
