This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Advocate for AI-first quality assurance methodologies. Spearhead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of our AI Feature Testing approach, where AI agents perform initial test runs and QA engineers assess, validate, and broaden test coverage.
• Evaluate and verify outcomes generated by AI tests. Scrutinize AI test results for precision, comprehensiveness, and false positives/negatives, utilizing your domain expertise to determine pass/fail criteria.
• Execute manual test cases, targeted exploratory testing, and edge-case assessments. Direct human testing efforts towards critical areas: intricate workflows, boundary scenarios, integration points, and cases lacking adequate AI coverage.
• Take ownership of the QA strategy and implementation for your team, which includes test planning, risk evaluation, and decisions regarding release readiness.
• Develop and sustain automated tests using Playwright, adhering to Page Object Model (POM) design patterns, and enhance POM coverage to facilitate a scalable and maintainable automation suite.
• Utilize AI development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot) as integral components of your workflow to produce test cases, create automation scripts, troubleshoot failures, and expedite coverage expansion.
• Mentor and train the QA team on proficient usage of AI tools, prompt engineering for testing purposes, and the evolving QA review process.
• Integrate automated tests into our Xray test management system, ensuring traceability between test cases, requirements, and defects.
• Oversee QA processes in Jira, including logging and prioritizing bugs, classifying defect severity, and maintaining current test status for the team.
• Clearly communicate quality status, risks, and the progress of AI testing adoption to developers, product managers, and leadership stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Customer Support to triage complex application issues as needed.
• Over 7 years of experience in an automation QA position.
• A genuine passion for AI-enhanced workflows and a conviction that AI fundamentally transforms QA practices.
• Practical experience using AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) in a professional development or testing environment; not merely experimental, but integrated into your work processes.
• Strong critical thinking and judgment abilities. You possess the skills to evaluate AI-generated outputs, identify discrepancies, and determine when to trust results versus investigating further.
• Practical experience with Playwright (preferred) or substantial experience with a modern automation framework (Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, etc.) and a readiness to quickly learn Playwright.
• Proven experience with exploratory testing methods and the capability to identify defects that scripted and AI-driven tests may overlook.
• Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing test plans, defining test strategies, and making risk-based assessments regarding release readiness.
• Familiarity with Xray or a similar test management tool that integrates with Jira.
• Strong proficiency in Jira, including management of ticket workflows, bug reporting, sprint board oversight, and defect classification.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to present quality metrics and AI adoption progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in contributing to or maintaining a shared QA codebase with a focus on high code quality and review practices.
• Leadership mindset: You take the initiative, guide peers through transitions, and elevate the team's standards.
