Senior QA Analyst, Secure Remote Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement test plans for Keeper Connection Manager features and secure remote access processes.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, system, and exploratory testing across KCM components.

• Assess remote access workflows utilizing protocols such as SSH, RDP, and VNC.

• Evaluate KCM performance across various operating systems, network conditions, and enterprise settings.

• Verify authentication, authorization, session management, access controls, and encrypted communication processes.

• Replicate, document, and track defects with precise technical details, logs, and steps for reproduction.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering to resolve complex issues related to networking, connectivity, performance, and system behavior.

• Validate new KCM integrations and deployment setups across both cloud and on-premises environments.

• Create and maintain test cases, regression suites, and QA documentation to enhance release confidence.

• Engage in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and release validation activities.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to aid in test design, troubleshooting, defect analysis, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, QA analysis, or a similar testing position.

• Experience in testing complex enterprise software, infrastructure products, or security-sensitive applications.

• Strong grasp of networking concepts and client-server communication.

• Practical experience testing SSH, RDP, VNC, database protocols (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), or Kubernetes remote access.

• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills, including log analysis, replicating complex defects, and identifying root causes.

• Experience testing in Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments.

• Familiarity with cloud environments, virtualization, and DevOps workflows.

• Experience with APIs, databases, or backend services in end-to-end testing.

• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure access principles.

• Experience using defect tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.

• Ability to collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams in an Agile development setting.

• Capability and eagerness to effectively utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance test development, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

• Preferred: experience testing privileged access management, secure remote access, or cybersecurity products.

• Preferred: experience with network troubleshooting tools and packet analysis.

• Preferred: familiarity with automated testing or scripting in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

• Preferred: experience testing performance, reliability, or high-availability scenarios.

• Preferred: familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.

• Preferred: experience testing enterprise deployments involving proxies, firewalls, VPNs, or restricted networks.

• Preferred: familiarity with Remote Browser Isolation or secure web gateway technologies.

• Preferred: familiarity with Apache Guacamole or KCM’s underlying gateway architecture.

• Preferred: experience testing PIV/CAC smart card authentication or federal identity standards.
