This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create and develop production-grade APIs and microservices utilizing Python.
• Apply Domain Driven Design principles to model the domain, encompassing bounded contexts, aggregates, repositories, domain services, and a shared language.
• Integrate Neo4j for graph-focused tasks, including optimizing Cypher queries and modeling graph data.
• Construct data engineering and machine learning workflows on Databricks.
• Handle geospatial and temporal data, which includes spatial indexing, time series, and the utilization of geospatial standards and tools.
• Ensure services are reliable, efficient, and secure while monitoring them in a production environment.
• Oversee features from inception through technical discovery and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and runtime monitoring.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, contribute to architectural decisions, and proactively identify risks.
• Proficient in advanced Python, including writing clean idiomatic code, managing virtual environments, packaging, type hints, and utilizing async and await.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI and familiarity with asynchronous best practices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and common patterns such as factory, strategy, repository, and dependency injection.
• Practical knowledge of Domain Driven Design, particularly in event-driven domain modeling.
• Skilled in RESTful API design, covering resource modeling, versioning, error handling, pagination, and OpenAPI.
• Experience with event-driven systems like Kafka, MQTT, or Azure Event Hubs; including publish/subscribe mechanisms and asynchronous task processing.
• Proficient in SQL with PostgreSQL or SQL Server, along with substantial hands-on experience with Neo4j.
• Familiarity with Docker, a working knowledge of Kubernetes, and comfort in using the Linux command line.
• Experience in testing and CI/CD practices using pytest, TDD, and tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, including awareness of OWASP Top 10, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills in an international environment.
• Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID, Azure DevOps, and Key Vault.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with structured logging, Prometheus or Grafana, and OpenTelemetry tracing.
• Fully remote work environment.
