Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs utilizing Python.

• Create scalable solutions for processing, integrating, and transforming substantial datasets.

• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Collaborate with engineers on system design, data modeling, and platform enhancements.

• Enhance software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and mentoring junior developers.

• Develop and advance a proprietary data platform that handles large volumes of cybersecurity data.

• Provide support for scalable data ingestion, high-performance APIs, and event-driven data processing for cyber-risk management products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in Python development.

• Extensive experience in building backend applications and REST APIs.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Practical experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in developing data-intensive applications or working with large-scale data processing.

• A solid understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and clean code principles.

• Familiarity with Databricks or modern data platforms.

• Understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).

• Proficiency in working within Linux-based development environments.
