Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and execute scalable ETL processes.

• Take ownership of the technical architecture, design, and implementation of the data platform.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering leaders to shape the data platform roadmap.

• Offer technical direction and best practices to leadership.

• Support and develop backend components that facilitate stable and efficient data operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETLs, or data-intensive backend roles.

• Proficiency in Spark for Batch/Streaming, PySpark, or Spark SQL.

• More than 4 years of experience with complex SQL transformations and optimization.

• Practical experience with DBT and Airflow.

• Strong knowledge of Python scripting.

• Familiarity with Databricks.

• Hands-on experience with AWS.

• Understanding of Modern Data Warehouse concepts and Big Data modeling.

• Experience with DuckDB, pandas, or Jupyter Notebook is a plus.

• Professional experience using Python with Django.

• Experience with Celery for asynchronous task management.

• Knowledge of Redis for caching solutions.

• Familiarity with RabbitMQ for message queuing and event-driven workflows.

• Experience using PostgreSQL as the primary database.

• Experience with MongoDB for metadata management and indexing.

• Experience implementing Elasticsearch as the primary search engine.

• Strong English communication skills, at least at the B2 level.
