Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain integrations that acquire vulnerability and asset data from security platforms like CrowdStrike, Tenable.io, Wiz, Qualys, and Rapid7.

• Extract, normalize, and convert data from external REST APIs into formats suitable for the platform.

• Design new connectors and enhance the existing internal connector framework.

• Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, support, and platform engineering to ensure integrations are robust, scalable, and maintainable.

• Create tools and automation for testing, validating, and deploying connectors through CI/CD processes.

• Assist QA and customer support teams in identifying and resolving issues related to connectors.

• Take ownership of reliability and observability within the connector infrastructure, including logging, metrics, and error handling.

• Collaborate with multiple teams on integrations based on Python, the PHP core application, and a new Python integration platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• More than 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.

• Strong proficiency in Python and data manipulation libraries such as pandas or polars.

• Familiarity with PHP and/or React.

• Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs, including aspects like authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and data normalization.

• Experience in writing testable code, as well as unit and integration tests, including mocking of external APIs.

• Background in data transformation or ETL-style processes.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives or projects from design through to release.

• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Comfortable operating in Linux-based environments.

• Strong skills in debugging and problem-solving with external systems and APIs.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred).

• Experience with Zend Framework/Laminas Framework.

• Familiarity with security tools such as CrowdStrike, Wiz, Qualys, or Rapid7.

• Knowledge of Docker.

• Experience with relational databases; knowledge of SingleStore/MemSQL is an advantage.

• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience in maintaining applications on Linux platforms in cloud environments.
