Lead Backend Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-performance backend services using Go.

• Analyze and enhance distributed systems and architectures based on microservices.

• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, technical leadership, and adherence to best practices.

• Participate in architectural decision-making, technology selection, and platform strategy development.

• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Team up with Data Engineering and Machine Learning groups to embed data-driven functionalities into bidder workflows.

• Assist in fostering a robust engineering culture centered on ownership, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in backend software development using Go.

• Profound understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures.

• Experience in creating and managing high-performance, low-latency backend services.

• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex performance and scalability issues.

• Capacity to work autonomously and lead initiatives from conceptualization to production.

• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating closely with Product teams.

• Leadership experience or strong potential and readiness to assume a technical leadership position.

• Familiarity with AdTech or Programmatic Advertising (auction mechanics, high-volume decision-making) is advantageous.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments is beneficial.

• Understanding of data-intensive applications, analytics platforms, and large-scale aggregations is a plus.

• Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and production ML integrations is an advantage.

• Experience in leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or collaborating with distributed external teams is a plus.
