Senior Python Developer, API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create backend services and APIs that link the user-facing platform with underlying infrastructure services and automation components.

• Enhance existing Python APIs and develop new features for the platform.

• Strengthen role-based access control and multi-tenancy functionalities.

• Facilitate integrations with infrastructure services that manage provisioning and lifecycle operations.

• Play a role in introducing new features while enhancing code quality, maintainability, documentation, and delivery standards.

• Collaborate within a diverse engineering team on a long-term platform engineering initiative.

• Develop and sustain infrastructure resource provisioning, management, and automation capabilities via web interfaces and APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive commercial experience in Python backend development.

• Proficiency in building REST APIs and backend services.

• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

• Experience with authentication, authorization, and RBAC concepts.

• Practical knowledge of Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.

• Capability to work with existing codebases and enhance them progressively.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders.

• Senior-level mindset, ownership, and the ability to comprehend both technical and business contexts.

• Background in infrastructure, cloud, hosting, data center, or platform engineering projects.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized services.

• Knowledge of source-of-truth tools like Nautobot, NetBox, or similar solutions.

• Experience with multi-tenant platforms or self-service portals.

• Understanding of infrastructure automation, server provisioning, or lifecycle management.

• Basic awareness of frontend technologies, particularly React.
