Senior Python Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop client code that is not only efficient but also high-performing, testable, scalable, secure, and of exceptional quality.

• Ensure the security of code through Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and lead remediation efforts through triaging, prioritization, remediation, and verification.

• Maintain accurate tracking of status, reporting, and estimation utilizing project methodologies and tools.

• Collect requirements, validate understanding among the team, and create and uphold relevant documentation.

• Carry out activities within the current methodology while adhering to the highest quality standards.

• Promote collaboration with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user challenges and refine solutions that enhance client success.

• Assume responsibility for projects, from technical design to successful deployment.

• Engage in code reviews to ensure the quality and consistency of the codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven proficiency with at least 8+ years in Python, REST API, and SQL.

• Skilled in using Git source control tools (Github, Gitlab, or similar).

• Experience with unit testing, particularly using Pytest.

• Intermediate design skills utilizing UML / C4 / ArchiMate.

• Background in engineering software systems of medium to large scale and complexity.

• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

• Expertise in working with relational databases.

• Experience in developing frontend and backend applications at scale.

• Proficient in the English language.
