Senior Proposal Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on complex opportunities.

• Work collaboratively with business development, capture managers, solution architects, technical subject matter experts, operations, and functional professionals to plan and manage compliant, persuasive proposal content.

• Assist in proposals for federal government agencies including Defense, Space, Civilian, Health, and Supply Chain and Logistics.

• Engage in and contribute to solution development sessions.

• Lead and mentor proposal team members throughout the entire proposal process.

• Organize and plan proposal content to facilitate evaluation and scoring.

• Chair color reviews and guide the adjudication of reviewer recommendations.

• Coordinate with pricing and contracts teams.

• Supervise proposal production activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, capture managers, and proposal support teams.

• Demonstrates an ownership mentality and accountability for Proposal Management responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of experience as a Proposal Manager for federal government proposals.

• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.

• Proven track record of managing and securing large, complex proposals.

• Proven experience in managing and winning HTRO/scorecard proposals.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Capable of coaching writers and managing proposal content effectively.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SharePoint, the Shipley Proposal Process, and industry best practices.

• Willingness to travel for proposal development and solutioning working sessions.

• Orals proposal experience is preferred.

• Experience with proposal and growth-related AI tools is preferred.

• Proposal Management training and/or APMP Certification is preferred.
