Senior Project Manager – Transportation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee operations and business development for the roadway division in Florida.

• Lead project initiatives in collaboration with the Transportation team, Pond leadership, and the Marketing team.

• Utilize Go/No-Go authority on project pursuits and evaluate strategic hiring requirements during pursuit stages.

• Interact with state DOTs and other clients to align service offerings and position Pond as a frontrunner in transportation design services.

• Supervise daily operations, resource distribution, staffing, and project budgets for the Florida/Georgia Transportation division.

• Work in conjunction with Project Managers and Design Teams to optimize resource use.

• Assess and approve new hires while overseeing training, mentoring, and professional development for direct reports.

• Act as Senior Design Manager or Senior Project Manager when necessary to secure opportunities, achieve technical outcomes, and ensure client satisfaction.

• Direct the roadway practice's Quality Assurance Program and contribute to enhancing Pond’s industry reputation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is mandatory.

• A preferred 15 - 20 years of experience in transportation/roadway and drainage design.

• Proficient knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, practices, and techniques.

• Strong organizational, project, and time management skills are essential.

• Ability to cultivate and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.

• Capable of thriving in a team environment, demonstrating a positive attitude, multitasking, and self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
