Senior Project Manager – Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Overseeing and directing technical projects from inception to completion throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of medium to large technical projects within the established scope and budget.

• Collaborating with clients to outline project scope and objectives.

• Creating and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.

• Keeping customers and project teams informed about project milestones and dependencies.

• Coordinating the project team’s daily operations.

• Ensuring adherence to project methodologies, business processes, and maintaining project documentation.

• Communicating effectively with stakeholders and decision-makers regarding project progress, reporting, and escalating issues to senior management when necessary.

• Assisting development teams during implementation to coordinate with customers, clarify requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality applications.

• Utilizing Software Development Lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and SharePoint to capture and track requirements for cross-functional teams.

• Maintaining high standards of customer engagement and service.

• Expected to participate in work-related training and learning, facilitated by TEKenable, aiming for relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince II methodologies, ScrumMaster, etc.).

• Understanding, adhering to, and actively promoting compliance with ISO27001 and ISO9001 policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven commercial experience in managing large or multiple software/platform projects.

• Experience in establishing, monitoring, and managing project budgets and forecasts.

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and experience with Project Management tools.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and present technical information to diverse audiences.

• Capability to design and deliver a high-level roadmap while managing and aligning project deliverables and tasks for successful execution.

• Enjoyment in collaborating and leading teams to devise strategies for problem-solving and implementing innovative solutions.

• Ability to develop strategies and visions while aligning project deliverables.

• Additional desirable skills include:

• Scrum Master certification or equivalent.

• PMP/PRINCE 2 certification or equivalent.

• Proficient in MS Office suite.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar (Gantt chart, etc.).

• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio or equivalent.

• Understanding of Azure/Cloud concepts.

• Experience with JIRA/Azure DevOps.

• Some familiarity with software engineering principles.
