Senior Project Manager – Retail Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee stakeholder engagement, including architects, engineers, and supply chain partners, to ensure successful project compliance.

• Assess, monitor, and manage essential milestone activities to prevent any delays in the project schedule.

• Confirm the effectiveness of project governance, processes, and systems.

• Guarantee the implementation of best practices across all projects.

• Generate formal project status updates and any other necessary documentation.

• Supervise several construction projects concurrently while ensuring adherence to approved design standards.

• Manage supplier interactions through monthly tracking and weekly evaluations.

• Facilitate the flow of project information through regular meetings and written communications.

• Anticipate and revise key project milestones as necessary.

• Oversee and evaluate local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.

• Offer technical assistance to owners, architects, general contractors, and regional stakeholders.

• Quickly address field Requests for Information (RFIs).

• Provide insights into cost management, value engineering, and constructability advice.

• Conduct independent reviews of status reports, drawing submissions, timelines, and financials.

• Cultivate strong client relationships and enhance opportunities for new projects.

• Guide project teams on strategies to meet client and business objectives.

• Document key project information and lessons learned.

• Identify enhancements for internal systems and processes.

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or an equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience.

• At least 5–7 years of pertinent project management experience.

• Strong organizational and managerial capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

• Proficient presentation skills.

• Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management software.
